SLSC River Swim

The SLSC River Thames swim is a one-mile summer evening swim down the Thames from Kingston Bridge to the Royal Canoe Club, followed by beer and barbecue. Drift down the Thames having a nose at the gardens of the riverside houses or compete for one of three club handicap and open cups.

Wetsuits are allowed – but you won't be eligible to win a cup as neoprene makes you too fast!

After the swim, grab a drink from the canoe club bar and tuck into a delicious barbecue. We can't think of a better way to spend a summer Friday evening.

Open to SLSC members only.

This event can only take place if there is the correct ratio of support canoes to swimmers. The canoes will be supplied, but the SLSC must supply the canoeists (minimum age 16 years). Please encourage your friends or family to canoe. Canoeists don’t need to be members of the SLSC. An added bonus is they get the BBQ free!
